Bummer

The kids and I were in a car accident today. Thankfully everyone is okay. Evan and Claire didn't even bat an eye. We were on our way to drop Evan off at school traveling north on 35. The traffic in front of us stopped, we stopped, but unfortunately the person behind us did not stop. She plowed into us. We flew into the ditch and somehow her car got in front of us and we hit the side of her car. A very nice lady stopped to make sure we were okay. She made a report to the police officer that the young girl who hit us was driving very fast and darting in and out of traffic. The girl who hit us felt bad and immediately apologized. She told me that she looked down for one second and there we were. She was okay too. She cut her finger a little bit and hurt her foot. We sat in the car for about an hour and 15 minutes while the police and state trooper filled out all the paperwork. Both cars were towed. Thankfully Karl was able to come and get us. Evan still wanted to go to school even though he was an hour late. Karl called the insurance company and we got a rental car in the afternoon. Now we just have to wait to see what the damage is....
