Evan had his first baseball game last Wednesday. He did a great job and had tons of fun. His team has had several practices over the last few weeks and were ready to go! His team was in the field first and Evan sat on the bench! His first time up at bat he hit the ball and made it to first base and eventually scored! The second inning Evan played right center field. He chased a few balls and looked at all the airplanes going by! His second time up to bat he didn't hit a pitch right away so he used the baseball T. He didn't seem to mind as other kids had used it too. He hit right away and made it to first base again. The next hit he got to second base. It went downhill from there! When he was on second, one of his teammates hit the ball and Evan wasn't paying attention and didn't run to third base right away and got tagged out. He shed some tears over that, but was back to playing in no time. His last time on the field, he played first base. He was so excited when he caught a ball and tagged the runner. Not too many balls are caught by 5 and 6 year old, so we were very proud! We are looking forward to the next games!!

Evan's first time up to bat. Yes, he is a lefty just like his Dad!

Evan on his way to homeplate after his first time up to bat.

Playing first base. He needed lots of reminders to cover first base instead of going after the ball each time!
